Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic band 7 occupational therapist to lead our service within the vale locality community mental health team based in Barry hospital.The post holder will hold a clinical caseload delivering occupationally focused assessments and interventions. They will act as a care coordinator under the mental health measure for service users whose principle needs is for occupational therapy. As a senior member of the team there is also a role in supporting the wider MDT and CMHT team assessments for service user with severe and enduring mental health needs .The post holder will provide professional leadership including supervision and operational management to a small group of occupational therapists working within the CMHT.As a senior member of the Occupational therapy service the post holder will lead development of the service alongside a group of colleagues across mental health servicesCardiff and the vale provides many opportunities for professional development.
