Job Description

Two Lead People Partner roles have come available working for a leading care organisation based in Colchester.This role is working remotely with the expectation to work from the Colchester officeonce per week as a minimum and to travel to sites within your geographical area as and when required.Reporting to the Director of People Partnering, the Lead People Partner is responsible for ensuring the contribution of People expertise to business decision making and develop innovative people solutions to support business plans and strategy.You will work as a strategic HR Business Partner providing highly specialised and strategic workforce focused expertise and advice to ensure our people are capable, effective and healthy, and ultimately able to deliver great care.You will support organisational change to help implement the business strategy and foster a climate of positive employee relations.A key responsibility of the role will be to investigate, manage, and advise on highly complex and sensitive people issues providing advice and guidance to all levels within the organisation.To create insight, impact and challenge to support the drive for positive change by working in partnership with senior management through being evidence based and outcomes driven in approach.To create and embed excellent people practices within the organisation, including reporting on workforce KPIs and taking appropriate action to improve KPIs as required.A key focus of the role will be on helping to build and sustain people management capacity through effective coaching of managers in applying HR policy and practice and helping deliver improvements in how staff performance is maximised.You will support the organisation in delivering the People strategy and achieving its strategic ambitions.To lead complex change management and TUPE programmes, ensuring legal compliance.You will work in collaboration with internal and external partner organisations in the Community Collaborative and the wider health and social care system to develop, influence and agree solutions.You may be required to take a lead role in the development of specified system solutions and / or projects and to deputise for the Director – People Partnering as required.Experience required for the role:

  • Experience of working within HR in the private health / social care.
  • Senior experience of HR in a fast-paced organisation, with a demonstrable track record of achievement.
  • A thorough knowledge of all aspects of HR to include employee relations and employment law.
  • Experience of partnership working with trade unions.
  • Experience of using and developing HR and workforce information systems to enhance e-functionality.
  • Experienced in dealing with highly complex and sensitive employee relations cases and acting as lead advisor to the senior management and colleagues on policy and process.
  • Experience of partnership working, engaging and influencing stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Experience of leading, supporting and developing a team.
  • Political and organisational awareness, excellent judgement and experience of making decisions where no precedent exists, or options are conflicting.
  • Demonstrable commitment to Inclusion and Diversity.
  • Extensive experience of performance management processes, grievance and discipline, including hearings and appeals.
