Job Description

Are you a Project Manager looking for a new challengeThe day job:We are looking for an IT Project Manager who has a deep understanding of Agile methodologies, in a technical environment. This is a greenfield role with our Defence customer, and you will be leading projects in an Infrastructure environment.Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading Change Requests raised by the client and internal teams
  • Enable and support the timely delivery of Scrum Deliverables, ensuring they are up to quality standards and meet the requirements definition
  • Responsible for supporting Clients to document definitive and testable requirements
  • Package up Proposals for Change to the client, considering resource, cost and implementation
  • Enable and facilitate collaboration and cooperation among all Scrum Team members and help to resolve any issues related to the Teams activities
  • Ensure that the relevant "Scrum Artefacts" and project documentation facilitate visibility of the development of the Product to the Scrum Team and Stakeholders
  • Facilitate and support all Sprint meetings (including enforcement of time boxes for such meetings)
  • Capture and record data generated (e.g. during Sprint/project/change meetings) by the Change Team to facilitate adjustment of forecasts in relation to Sprints and Releases
  • Use all reasonable endeavours to resolve any issues in good faith by agreement at the applicable Sprint meeting
  • Work very closely with other Scrum Masters (Release Train) and Project Managers to coordinate sprints and releases
  • Work very closely with the Product Owners, and Service Managers to escalate any issues where the Team members are being negatively impacted
  • Sprint and Project Reporting and contributing to delivery reporting
  • Mentor team members in Agile frameworks and guide them towards higher project and Scrum maturity
  • Be the point of contact for communications with other Scrum and Project Teams
  • Participate in Delivery Governance meetings, on invitation
  • Help build a productive and psychologically-safe environment where team members own the product enjoy working on it
Required skills:
  • Experience as a Scrum Master
  • Experience in introducing Agile methodology to an organisation that has not followed this principle
  • Experience in taking a customer on a journey
  • Have good understand of infrastructure technologies
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience of acting as a Scrum Master for a Scrum Team operating as part of an Agile release train
