Job Description

Are you ready to take the reins in defining the future of IT risk management within the dynamic realms of Defence, Government, and Police sectors Shared Services Connected Limited (SSCL) is thrilled to announce a golden opportunity for an adept Risk Managerto be a vital part of our growing Service Delivery team.As a Risk Manager at SSCL, you will be at the forefront of revolutionising IT risk management practices, directing the creation, execution, and governance of strategies that fortify our organisation against potential threats. Working in collaboration withthe IT Management team and business sector leaders, youll champion the identification and management of IT risks, ensuring a flawless integration of risk management practices across our diverse IT services.What youll be doing:

  • Support our business and IT staff in identifying and handling IT risks with finesse.
  • Spearhead the creation and collation of a unified IT risk process and register for comprehensive risk visibility.
  • Actively monitor risk mitigation plans, ensuring their seamless integration into Business as Usual (BAU), projects, and planning.
  • Support the financial planning process by incorporating robust risk mitigation strategies into future cycles.
  • Maintain contingency plans for the effective mitigation of active risks, ensuring our resilience against potential disruptions.
  • Make impactful mitigate/accept recommendations to C-level executives, guiding our organisation through the fluid landscape of IT risks.
  • Review and approve IT changes, providing crucial insights where risks are identified to steer our course towards excellence.
  • Develop a cross-departmental culture that champions a shared dedication to outstanding risk management practices.
  • Own the charge towards achieving ISO31000 certification within the IT domain, setting new standards for excellence.
What you’ll bring:
  • A wealth of in-depth risk management expertise, particularly within the constantly evolving environment of a commercial IT service provider environment.
  • Weaving together plans, work packages, and results with precision, aligning them seamlessly with expected benefits. The approach is not just strategic; its an orchestra of organisational-wide risk and mitigation activities, providing a comprehensive shieldagainst uncertainties.
  • Guiding the way in risk management leadership, not just at the organisational level, but extending influence across the entire business spectrum
  • Unravelling the intricacies through root cause analysis, uncovering opportunities for improvement. Constantly vigilant, measuring and monitoring adherence to standards, ensuring the risk management process is not just a checklist but a consistent and dynamicpractice.
  • Fuelled by a technical background, possessing the dexterity to perform assessments and accreditations for complex, high-risk information systems.
It would be great if you had:
  • Certified risk Manager (CRM)
  • Associate in Risk Managements (ARM)
  • Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CIRSC)
