Job Description

As a Case Manager you will be working in a vibrant, innovative and focussed team in a key role responsible for the administration, preparation and pro-active progression of new business applications supporting our young, professional customers requiringsecured second charge loans looking to enter the housing market with their first home purchase.You will be key helping these customers at a key time in their lives so it is important to be fun and friendly developing a personal but competent and slick relationship with customers and also with your team and business colleagues.You are accountable for supporting our customers complete their mortgage application including some underwriting skills, checking and completion of documents, handle their enquiries and also offer a post-completion service as and when required by customersensuring an excellence of service is provided in line with policies and procedures.Your focus is getting it right first time and always aiming to delight our customers by delivering on promises, ensuring they are clearly informed and updated in all dealings with them.Requirements for the role:The role requires you to be highly motivated and to show initiative to help the business succeed meeting deadlines and demonstrating quality of decisions and assistance.

  • Having great conversations, the highest and consistent quality of customer service and support to external and internal customers making it am enjoyable for all.
  • Treat our customers in a fun, personal and professional manner ensuring they are clearly informed and updated and have a fair and compliant outcome.
  • Handle all communications with any post offer changes to the application, liaising with Underwriting team where necessary.
  • Carry out a full case check ensuring application is on the right plan, check adverse credit, equity, income and similar.
  • Request any information and documents needed to complete applications and processes
  • Maintain a full understanding of product criteria knowledge
  • Ensure all enquiries relating to Completions are dealt with promptly, efficiently and in accordance with service standards, policies and procedures
  • Keep applicable notes on the system through the application and underwriting process including customer conversations, documents and other relevant contacts
  • Operate as a team player within our business and the wider Company to ensure that all service standards and targets are consistently delivered.
  • Promote a can do and fun culture and one that seeks continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Operate in accordance with all required regulatory requirements Treating Customers Fairly.
  • Identify and report events and suspicion in line with Anti-Money Laundering legislation and procedures.
  • Understand and operate to the Company complaints procedure at all times
  • Ensure all work is undertaken to a first-class standard by adopting a right first-time attitude and approach.
  • Manage and maintain relevant MI as required to manage own performance and as requested by the management team.
  • Develop and maintain the ability, after training, to competently operate and navigate through all IT systems required to undertake the job role
  • Any other reasonable activities required to be completed by the business
Youre someone who is/has:
  • Previous experience of manage secured loans/mortgages including underwriting is desirable
  • Up to date with knowledge of the regulatory environment in the UK
  • Up to tend knowledge and learning of lender criteria
  • Tactful and strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High professional standards.
  • A strong commitment to, and background of, customer service
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Able to demonstrate what is needed to provide fantastic and personalised
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to manage conflicting and demanding priorities and deadlines
  • Desire to achieve and seek continuous development and improvement including being pro-active, inquisitive and problem solving by nature
