If you are up for a challenge and are willing to work hard, working with us will giveyou a fulfilling and varied career.Although our offices are based in Cardiff, Newport and Chester, we offer the option to work fully remotely so welcome applicants from across the UK!As Senior Data Warehouse Consultant youll Support the development of a professional Data Warehouse consultancy practice and provide guidance to the other Data Warehouse consultants on technical, delivery, and operational issues and help them work throughobstacles success. As a senior member of this team, youll also play a part in monitoring and improving colleague engagement across the teamYour main responsibilities will include:

  • Maximise the contribution of the Data Warehouse team by looking for opportunities to improve current methodologies
  • Lead on defining the project requirements and solutions with the project
  • Responsible for ensuring Reporting elements of projects remain within in Estimated timescales
  • Ensure work packages/requirements are delivered within budgeted estimates
  • Apply and enforce standardised development, maintenance and change processes / governance across Data Warehouse (including Code Review)
  • Maximise, via automation and process developments, existing strategies to reduce manual decisions and interventions and improve efficiencies whilst ensuring that considerations, communications and toolbox resolutions are tailored to the needs and circumstancesof each customer
  • Deliver a rich set of differentiating & innovative tools and solutions, to sponsor an innovation culture which embraces the advancements in technology, which enables growth and supports a diverse set of client expectations
Who are we looking forYoure someone who has the following knowledge/experience
  • 2+ Years of Business Intelligence software engineering experience
  • 2+ Years of delivering solutions through the Microsoft Data Warehouse technology stack
  • Experience in Cognos to support Reporting Analysts
  • SQL Server (2012/14 min, ideally exposure to 2016)
  • High level of SQL experience
  • Complex T-SQL (views, stored procedures, synonyms)
  • Basic understanding of SQL Server configuration
  • Data warehouse design principles (Kimball)
  • SSAS (ideally exposure to BISM tabular models rather than multidimensional models)
  • SSRS experience
  • AWS knowledge
