Call HandlerLocation: NewportSalary: £18,500 per annum + 3% flexible benefitsContract: 6 month FTC 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday shifts between 8am and 6pm)Do you have experience in a call centre or customer service environment and looking for a new challenge, if so, read on…SSCL are currently looking to expand their existing team and recruit a number of Call Handlers to support one of SSCL government client’s transition to a new HR system.Who are weEstablished in 2013, SSCL (Shared Services Connected Limited), is a joint venture between Sopra Steria and the Cabinet Office.SSCL are responsible for a large number of business transformation projects right across the UK government and public sector - the end goal is to achieve around £1billon worth of savings to the public purse.We have an enviable track record in the design and delivery of large scale business support solutions including HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, Procurement and Administration for our long list of clients including The Department for Work and Pensions, Environment Agency Department for Education, Ministry of Justice, Met Police and the Home Office.Key Responsibilities• Initial point of contact for customers when they ring the Sopra Steria Helpdesk.• Answer incoming calls within the time specified by the agreed service levels.• Ascertain the relevant information and call details to ensure right communication. Log these details onto the helpdesk Service Desk call management system (i.e. STARS) to provide accuracy in the system.• Monitor the status of open calls and to progress these calls to ensure that the contracted service levels are met.• Escalate issues to the Technical Coordinator• May provide agreed technical support outside normal working hours (call duty), as required.Essential Skills• Customer facing telephone and call handling skills • Good communication skills - both verbal and written;• Articulate & able to develop good working relationships with colleagues & clients• Able to use initiative & exercise sound judgement.• Good Microsoft IT skills• Previous experience using internal systemsDesirable Skills• Knowledge of IT Experience of Call Management softwareReasons why you should join us• We’re big, really big.
