Job Description

Do you have the skills to lead a team on a successful project If so, then please read on!SSCL delivers key business services to some of the largest Government and Public Sector clients across the UK. We are looking for natural leader to come into the business and deliver a small to medium project with a team in keeping with several work streams.These workstreams can include client resource, third party suppliers and Sopra Steria employees and new client requests.We can accommodate a hybrid approach to working, with a split between 2 days in the Newport office and 3 days home.What youll be doing:

  • Understand and accurately assess business requirements and nuances of the project in relation relevant sectors, customers and key service offerings.
  • Deliver assignment in line with agreed scope, time, financial and quality measures.
  • Maintain effective client and stakeholder management.
  • Identify and handle risks to the success of the client project, with a focus on cost efficiency and resolution of issues aligning to SSCLs published Risk Management methods.
  • Complete assignment reviews with client (customer or internal assignment manager) at the end of each assignment (or six monthly for long term assignments).
  • Monitoring costs, timescales, resources and the performance of team members and suppliers acting where these deviate from agreed levels.
What youll bring:
  • Knowledge of completing impact assessments on the wider business areas.
  • Experience in the delivery of financial processes and Accounts Payable.
  • The ability to work with clients preferred requirement management tools and methodologies.
  • Experience in leading a team within a fast paced and pressured working environment.
  • Experience as a Project Lead on medium size programmes or projects.
  • Ability to work in a vast and varied scope of work.
It would be great if you had:
  • The capacity to coach and mentor a large team.
  • An eye to identify areas of weakness and recommend improvements.
  • Understanding of budget management including FTE and Overtime.
