Job Description

Clipper Logistics is one of the leading retail fulfilment businesses in the UK, with ability and agility at our core, our cutting edge operations allows us to provide world class customer service to customers such as John Lewis, River Island, Marks & Spencerand PrettyLittleThing.comWe have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Stock First Line Manager, to join our fast paced ecom site in Bardon.Working hours - 4 on 4 off 7am - 7pmWhat is the purpose of the roleTo ensure effective co-ordination of all stock administration related activities, by controlling the work through the stock control function and adherence to the agreed operational processes and procedures to routinely meet the key performance indicatorsfor the Contract.In this role you are accountable for:

  • To control the combined overall output of each stock colleague by co-ordinating administrators and stock colleagues using effective communication and working with stakeholder departments by understanding all key stock control processes and procedures.
  • Maintaining real time status control of all stock related operational activities to ensure the effective flow of goods through and out of the warehouse by monitoring and maintaining the overall stock position.
  • Motivating individuals and teams to ensure periodic targets are met for internal counting requirements reviewing and challenging any missed targets.
  • To understand the customer ethos and operational priorities and be conversant with the targets contained within the contracts service level agreement and key performance indicators.
  • To be aware of the customers product range and its impact on receiving, locating and dispatching its product combined with specific transport requirements for the customerscustomer base.
  • To manage and control effective communications and interdepartmental relationships which enhance staff engagement levels acting in line with Clippers code of conduct.
  • Reviewing labour requirements with the Stock Manager planning against activities and work schedules to include contingency plans and overtime requirements at known choke points, fluctuations of volumes against forecast and unscheduled events.
Person Specification / Skills -
  1. Previous stock management experience
  2. Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
  3. Minimum intermediate MS Office skills
  4. Ability to interact and engage staff at all levels
  5. Ability to drive continuous improvement with a can do attitude
  6. Managing teams of people
  7. Excellent communication skills
