Job Description

SEN TeacherSmile Education are currently working with a fantastic Special Educational Needs school in Northwest Leicestershire. Catering to learners from primary to Sixth Form, this institution is on the lookout for vibrant, dedicated Teachers to work within the primarydepartment.About this Teaching RoleSEMH needs encompass a specific category of SEN, where children require additional support in managing their emotions and behaviour to fully engage in education. As an SEMH Teacher you will be playing an important role in nurturing the academic, social,and emotional development of the students. As this is a full-time, long-term position, you will have the chance to develop strong, positive relationships with the pupils.The school spans across 27 acres of captivating Leicestershire countryside, boasting purpose-built facilities. Embracing a diverse curriculum, the school prioritizes the development of emotional resilience and equipping students for the professional world.Currently undergoing expansion, joining the team as an SEMH Teacher presents an exciting opportunity.Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver tailored lessons to meet the diverse needs of students
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages personal growth and academic achievement.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, and Health Teams, to support student development.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), ECTS are also welcome to apply
  • Experience working with individuals with special educational needs
  • A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs
