Job Description

Mechanical Maintenance Fitter Salary including Shift allowance 54,658 Desford Hours - 4 on 4 off - days and nights - weekly rotation 05:30 - 18:00 - Days week 17:30 0 06:00 - Nights Week Mechanical Maintenance fitter / Maintenance fitter / Mechanical Fitter / Desford The Recruitment Group is working with a leading UK manufacturing company that produces pre-cast products for the construction sector, with 17 manufacturing facilities nationwide they are continuing to lead in their industry. Purpose of the Mechanical Fitter role: Our client is looking for an experienced mechanical maintenance fitter to Join the Maintenance team. To help with the day-to-day mechanical and electrical engineering within the plant. Company Benefits for Mechanical Fitter role: . Well-being support Main duties and responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter role: . Maintenance reporting through CMMS system . Breakdown Reporting through MBRS . Completion of TPM/PPM activities . To constantly monitor each stage of the process . Ensure correct spare parts are fitted to operate safely . Rectify all stoppages/malfunctions requesting support when appropriate. . Adherence to site PPE policy . As part of a small team, you will work on your own initiative taking decisions as the need arises, this will include all possible electrical repairs and continuous improvement activities. . You will need a good working knowledge of PLCs and all associated controlled automated equipment and be a competent in fault diagnosis on hydraulic and pneumatic systems. . Fault diagnosis and repairs . Most of the plant will contain HMI display screens. It will be part of your job function to understand the systems operation and relate it to Electrical/mechanical faults. . Standard modern control systems will be used throughout the plant including inverters, and most types of sensors (both analogue and digital), and safety devices. It will be part of your job function to understand the systems operation and relate it to Electrical/Mechanicalfaults. . Some specialist training maybe required which could involve stopping away from home . Ensuring all safety standards are always adhered to . Compliance with all health safety and environmental regulations . Ensure that PPE issued is kept and maintained in good condition . Maintain a high standard of housekeeping across the site Experience/knowledge requirements for the Mechanical Fitter role : . NVQ in mechanical maintenance engineer . Company Induction . Timed served apprenticeship . Welding, burning and cutting . COSHH . LOTOTO . Silica Awareness . Working at Height . Risk assessments and one minute risk assessment . Confined space training . Spill Training . Forklift training . Various other mobile plant (MEWP / Scissor Lift) . Lifting / slinging & overhead crane training . HAV training .
