Job Description

T&K Associates are currently recruiting for a Production / Project Manager to join our Client on a permanent basis in Coalville.This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to project manage a new production facility, from start up to implementation.Job Details/Benefits;

  • Up to £45,000 per annum
  • End of year bonus based on Company & Individual performance
  • Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm however flexibility is required to cover all hours
  • 21 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Pension scheme
    • Role & Responsibilities of Production Manager include;
  • Plan and implement the installation of a new production facility
  • Oversee all production lines according to precise specifications and maintain the production schedule
  • Set-up, operate and troubleshoot all equipment
  • Take full responsibility for the day to day running of the department across all shifts, ensuring the Health & Safety of all colleagues whilst maintaining and making improvements in all areas
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and report information/findings, develop recommendations, and implement process changes in order to improve operational performance
  • Recruitment of shift personnel and managing the department
  • Perform and understand related tasks such as finished part inspection, material identification, data collection/input and meet all related requirements for documentation and traceability
  • Constantly monitor and optimise efficiencies of both machinery and labour
  • Maximise workplace health and safety to achieve zero accident culture’
  • Work towards improving costs and promote continuous improvement’
  • Review and implement training requirements for the development of all production staff
    • Production Manager Person Specification;
  • Electrical and Mechanical qualifications required for the installation, commissioning and maintenance of production plant and associated equipment
  • Proven experience in a people management role with the ability to deliver strong results through a team
  • 4+ years’ Management experience in a plastics/rubber environment preferred (extrusion, injection moulding, etc.)
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting / problem solving skills
  • Advanced Mathematical skills, including units of measure, fractions and decimals
  • Computer knowledge is essential
