Job Description

Job Title: Operations AssistantLocation: EllistownSalary: £25,000 - £28,000 D.O.EWorking hours: 8:00am - 6:00pm, Monday to FridayHoliday: 25 days plus bank holidays, plus opportunity to buy up to 4 days or sell up to 5Job Type: Permanent, Full timeOur client is looking for a pro-active, attentive and motivated operations assistant to join their team. The ideal Operations Assistant will be working closely with the Operations Manager to help manage customers rental and compliance requirements. Prior operations experience is not essential, but is seen as a strong plus.Job Role:Your key responsibilities as an Operations Assistant include but are not limited to:

  • Perform general office duties
  • Process purchase orders, checking costs with suppliers and ensuring customer servicing requirements are met.
  • Use internal system to code up costs, process bills, obtain order numbers, etc.
  • Liaise with other branches and departments to solve all queries and requests.
  • Order parts, update relevant parties with delivery dates and order stock to replenish levels.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, policies and procedures relating to all aspects of the business.
  • Provide customers with world class customer service, communicating with customers both over the phone and via email.
  • Check paperwork for errors and compliance issues, update relevant staff and ensure issues are corrected.
  • Perform physical yard and inventory checks on assets, chemicals and vehicles and log appropriately. Check any chemicals have their MSDS to match.
  • Create estimates for technicians, calculate charges and send invoices to customers.
  • Receive booking requests from customers, check technician availability and approve/decline requests.
  • Constantly liaise with operations manager to update on status of works, discuss how to achieve daily tasks, etc.
