Job Description

My client, a dynamic and rapidly growing fleet services company who are UK leading & HQd in Coalville, is recruiting a Management Accountant. The role will report directly to the Finance Manager with hybrid work available.Location: Coalville (hybrid & flexible working available)Role: 6 Months InterimSalary: £200 - £250 Day RateKey Responsibilities of the Management Accountant

  • Manage and deliver the statutory accounts for GPL - Liaising with External auditors dealing with audit matters for GPL.
  • Ensure transactions are appropriately processed in the general ledger, including Deferred and Accrued income, prepayments, accruals and provisions.
  • Oversee, maintain and develop the compliance and controls environment.
  • Manage the fixed asset and lease accounting and controls working closely with the Vehicles team.
  • Deliver timely (following timetables issued) and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including Board Reporting. Maintain and updating a monthly accounts process task list and timetable
  • Manage any FRS developments, ensuring impact analysis is completed and required changes implemented in timely and controlled manner.
  • Work with auditors and tax consultants for GPL to ensure timely and accurate reporting, providing inputs as required.
  • Deliver tax (VAT & PAYE) accounting and reporting to HMRC. Own the VAT return for the Group, taking input from GPFS and TopCo and producing Group returns and associated accounting entries.
  • Ensure appropriate tax controls (including VAT and PAYE) and reporting is in place us - liaising with external tax advisors on GPL related issues.
  • Drive a continuous improvement ethos within the team and function. Working closely with transactional manager and IT
