Management AccountantCoalvilleSalary To £42kPermanent / Office Based with a degree of flexibilityThe OpportunityMy client is a long standing company with a strong reputation and brand, part of a larger parent group that boasts a lions share of the market within their sector. They are seeking to add to their team a capable and astute Management Accountant to join theirfinance team, overseeing Management Accounts and financial performance for the companys manufacturing entity.The RoleReporting to the Financial Controller and Finance Director you will be responsible for the preparation and production of Management Accounts for the production entity, analysis across all aspects of the business and to the US Parent. Partnering with key stakeholderswithin the operations, communicating your commentary on performance.An overview of responsibilities is as follows: Preparing periodic financial statements, including departmental analysis, forecasts, budgets, cash analysis, variance analysis and commentaries Inventory reconciliations, raw materials, finished goods & WIP Standard cost reviews Intercompany reconciliations Providing a support service by working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions. This will include preparation work on acquisition requests (Capex) Ensuring spending is kept in line with the budget (monitoring) Advising on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions (OPEX/CAPEX) Analysing financial performance and contributing to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers Liaising with other function managers to put the finances and accounts in context Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed Ensuring compliance with SOX (including Blackline monthly preparation of balance sheet reconciliations) Internal and External AuditsThe CandidateYoull be an experienced within Management Accountant Business Partnering capacity, well rounded technically with an astute approach to continuous improvement. Part qualified / newly qualified ACCA / ACMA, youll be driven with a progressive outlook, able tochallenge the status quo through your high-level communication skills.Manufacturing / Production exposure is distinctly advantageous as is operating within financial control frameworks, preferably SOX but also UK GAAP, US GAAP, French GAAP etc.You must be results driven, a team player able to work to tight deadlines and demonstrate good initiative in problem solving and communicating information to financial and non-financial stakeholdersIT literate, you should be adept with an ERP system and be of an intermediate to advanced level in Excel (Pivots, Look ups, Sumifs).The BenefitsSalary guide is to c£42k dependent on experience and qualification.
