Job Description

  • Ensuring the effective running day to day of the Engineering department
  • Ensuring PPMs are up to date and downtime kept to a minimum
  • Compliance of all Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
  • Attend to breakdowns, rectifying problems to enable continued production
  • This will include vac packing machines, vac pumps and film over-wrapping machines
  • Electrical fault finding and maintenance (PLCs, inverters, stop/start control circuits)
  • Maintain and service temperature control equipment
  • Identify opportunities for improvements to the department
  • Being the ambassador for the site at all times, behaving in a professional and courteous manner with both internal and external customers
  • Undertake other jobs as reasonably requested within the scope of the job to improve the running of the department

Our pork is eaten by millions of consumers every year, and is stocked across the country by leadingretailers.Karro Food Group headquarters are located in Malton, North Yorkshire, and employ circa 4,000 people across our national food production locations.Our site in Coalville produces premium Ham, Pork and Beef either sliced or in joints.
  • Ensuring that all policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety at TS Bloors are adhered to.
  • Ensuring that all policies relating to hygiene and food safety at TS Bloors are adhered to.
  • Conducting yourself in such a way the represents the values and standards at TS Bloors outlined in its Human resource procedures, and reflecting the companys desire for continuous improvement.
  • Operating within policies relating to the BRC standard & other external standards; being aware and following the CCPs laid out within the site HACCP plan.
  • Good personal hygiene must be adhered to.
  • Electrical and mechanical multi-skilled engineering background ideally both
  • Relevant engineering qualifications - recognised apprenticeship, minimum NVQ or equivalent on the job experience
  • Experience of electrical fault finding and working with PLCs
  • Ability to work unsupervised (although advice and guidance will be available where required)
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • Ability to think on your feet
  • Experience of working in the food industry (desirable)
  • Self-motivated
