Job Description

Job Title: HGV Maintenance Controller (Tankers)Location: EllistownSalary: £27,000 - £32,000 D.O.E (Plus 15% annual bonus, subject to company performance)Working Hours: 8:00am - 6:00pm, Monday to FridayHoliday: 25 days plus bank holidays, plus opportunity to buy up to 4 days or sell up to 5Job Type: Permanent, Full timeOur client is looking for a pro-active, motivated and professional HGV Maintenance Controller to join their team. The Ideal HGV Maintenance Controller will be responsible for managing the repair and maintenance issues surrounding the trailers, as well as managemultiple Key Accounts.Job Role:Your key responsibilities as a HGV Maintenance Controller include but are not limited to:

  • Reviewing maintenance and repair cost estimates, including authorising and raising purchase orders for external suppliers.
  • Liaising with OEM Technical Services departments.
  • Supporting maintenance issues, involving both customers and suppliers.
  • Assisting with sourcing, procuring and ordering.
  • Supporting the workshop when the Service Manager is away.
  • Visit customers and suppliers when necessary.
  • Manage multiple key accounts, providing world class service when dealing with everything from booking scheduled maintenance to dealing with breakdowns, damage recharges, etc.
Qualifications/Requirements:The ideal HGV Maintenance Controller will have the following skills:
  • Computer literate with good administrative skills.
  • Time served experience in a HGV truck/trailer position with strong engineering / technical aptitude.
  • Great customer care and communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
