Job Description

CNC Miller Programmer required for a leading sub-contract manufacturer working predominantly in machining and fabrication. Due to the ongoing success and growth of the business they are seeking an experienced CNC Setter / Operator / Programmerwith experience programming machine centres with Fanuc and Heidenhain.CNC Miller - Programmer Setter Operator - Early shift Position Overview

  • Setting and operating the range of milling machinery predominantly
  • Creating programs directly on the machine, working from engineering drawings
  • Uploading and editing to the machines using Fanuc controls
  • Liaise with the Team Leader on drawings and job cards
  • Work towards company health and safety standards
CNC Miller - Programmer Setter Operator - Early shift Position Requirements
  • Previous experience in the Setting and Operating a variety of CNC Milling Machinery such as Doosan and Bridgeport
  • Ability to upload and edit programs essential, and ability to create programmes at the machinery using Fanuc and Heidenhain controls
  • Working to strict tolerances to ensure QMS is met (ISO 9001)
  • Experience or exposure to CAD/CAM Packages advantageous but not necessary.
  • Previous experience inspecting own work with hand tools
  • Maintain health and safety within the workplace and make sure you operate in a clean environment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Ability to plan and work from own initiative, with minimum supervision
  • Strong communication skills
  • Based in a commutable distance of the Coalville area
CNC Miller - Programmer Setter Operator - Early shift Position Remuneration
  • Permanent - full time
  • Salary £15 - £17 per hour
  • Working hours - 6.30am to 3.30pm (7.30am to 12.30pm on Friday). You will be entitled to a 30-min unpaid meal break to be taken between 11.30am and 12pm (Not Fridays).
  • 20 days holiday + bank holiday
  • 40 hour working week
  • Pension
