We are looking for a highly motivated individuals, capable of working as a team member or on their own initiative to join our Estates & Facilities Domestic/Catering/Portering Team as a Bank Facilities Assistant providing an effective and efficient service. Dependant on what is required on our rota from day to day.Various hours between 6.00a.m. - 22.00As a Bank facilities assistant you will be required to work within our Catering, Domestic and Portering team providing a service for the hospital which includes :-Our Catering service includes the preparation of breakfast for ward staff to serve. Lunch service is served by our domestic teamDomestic- Vacuuming, High & low dusting, cleaning of sanitary areas, mopping, buffing floors, changing of curtains.Catering- providing meals to our in patients , cleanliness of the catering department, regular stock taking, completion of catering records.Portering - this provides predominantly a cleaning service within the hospital, delivering of parcels/post, the use of heavy machinery for our floors. this will also include the covering of our van driver who delivers/ collects from various areas in and around the county.You will be required to work towards an NVQ level 2 in Food safety and your NVQ level 2 in cleaning and support.You must have a professional and logical approach to your work. Previous experience within an hospital environment or similar role is an advantage, but not an essential. Full training given upon commencement of post.You must have a good standard of the English language both written and oral communication.Flexibility is a must for this position to be able to fulfil the requirements of a bank post covering for annual leave/bank holiday and sickness (Monday – Sunday)For further details / informal visits contact:Jane Toon - Zonal coordinatorjane.toon@uhl-tr.nhs.uk
