Do you want to work in IT Support but fear of working in a call centre environment Well fear not! A leading software house in Leicestershire are growing across multiple teams in their IT function and are looking for an ambitious IT Support Analyst to further bolster their team. As an IT Support Analyst, you will be providing 1st and 2nd Line support across their market leading, bespoke applications. You will deal with a broad range of issues and work with your team and team leader to resolve problems that are more complex. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a close, friendly team where you will learn from long standing employees.To be suitable for this role you MUST be passionate about technology. Commercial experience is highly desirable even if its a placement year in a support role. ROLE: 1st Line Application Support SALARY: up to £25,000 + pluralsite account for continuous development and learning, fantastic training opportunities, 25 days hol, pension, private healthcare, free parking, flexible working, stand up desks, summer fetes and more!Duties and responsibilities:-Support bespoke applications -Reset passwords-Re-launch applications -Investigate system speed issues identifying if the problem is network or software related-Investigate the SQL database (you will be taught how to write SQL scripts)-Make suggestions to customers internal IT teams on how to fix their network or serversDesirable skills: -Experience with SQL databases -Knowledge of Active Directory-An awareness of Webservers including IIS 7-Any exposure to networkingEssentials:- Full UK driving license and car or working towards one- 5 years continuous UK address history -Excellent communication skills-Ability to manage your own time and prioritise tasks-Methodical and analytical approach to problem solving-Willingness to learn The client provides an excellent working environment with a friendly, collaborative team to learn from.
