Job Description

Sector: Construction, House Building, ResidentialAn opportunity has arisen for a committed Quantity surveyor to join an award-winning family run Construction company based in Bath, in their office in Exeter. The company are looking for a skilled individual who can communicate effectively both up and downthe chain of command ensuring the smooth running of projects and delivery of business KPIs. Management of financial and contractual matters is key whilst in keeping with the company core values to be reliable, open, trustworthy and a key contributor to theteam dynamic.This company excel in the following sectors: Residential, Education, Health, Commercial and Retirement.Skills Required:

  • Commercial expertise and acumen required
  • Technical knowledge on construction process and the most cost effective solutions
  • Always consider risk and opportunity in every decision you make
  • Contractual knowledge to review and comply with project requirements, protecting the companys best interests at all times
  • Health and Safety knowledge and understanding, be able to spot and report issues
  • Read, understand and absorb key aspects of project and Contract requirements
  • Be able to communicate effectively on many levels to all stakeholders
  • Act professionally at all times
  • Prevent problems developing and resolve them quickly
  • Be able to use IT systems to support the requirements of your role
  • Have resilience
  • Effective time management skills
