Job Description

  • As an HR Advisor, you play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive human resources support to everybody in the business. Its a busy manufacturing facility with 205 members of staff.
  • You will serve as a trusted advisor to both employees and management, making a substantial contribution to the success of the workforce and the organisation as a whole.
  • This position offers a unique opportunity to work within a dynamic, agile and fast-paced manufacturing business.
What Youll Do:
  • Employee Relations: You are the empathetic ear for employee inquiries, concerns, and grievances. Your ability to provide guidance and resolutions will be key to maintaining a positive culture.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Your collaboration with hiring managers and external agencies is essential. Youll assist in identifying staffing needs, participate in the recruitment process, and ensure that new employees have a smooth and welcoming onboardingexperience.
  • Performance Management: Your role in developing and implementing performance management processes, including performance evaluations and feedback sessions, will be critical to our teams growth and development.
  • Training and Development: Identifying training needs, coordinating training programs, and supporting employee development initiatives are integral to enhancing our workforces capabilities.
  • Compliance: Ensuring that we remain compliant with employment laws and regulations and maintaining accurate HR records and documentation is one of your strengths.
  • Policy Development: As part of our evolving workplace, youll contribute to the development and enforcement of HR policies and procedures, adapting them to meet the needs of our unique manufacturing environment.
  • Benefits Administration: Youll be responsible for overseeing employee benefits programs, ensuring the team receives the perks they deserve, and being the go-to person for benefits inquiries.
  • Health and Safety: Safety is paramount; youll work closely with your health and safety team to ensure compliance with safety regulations, contributing to a culture of workplace safety.
  • Employee Engagement: Happy employees are productive employees. Your initiatives will be key to enhancing employee engagement, job satisfaction, and retention.
What Were Looking For:
  • You have a decent amount of experience in a HR Advisory role. IF youve done something in a manufacturing environment and in a similar sized business, then that will be amazing.
  • Fear not though, its you as a person and the skills you have that we are interested in.
  • Your understanding of employment laws and regulations is second to none.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are effortless and you are comfortable talking to the Exec Management as you are anybody else.
  • You have strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities. Youre HR, of course you have!
  • Your proficiency in HR software (Ceridian Day Force) and Microsoft Office applications is impressive. Dotting the Is and crossing the Ts is what you do.
