Job Description

Morgan Hunt are currently working with a facilities provider based in Bristol, in their search for Kitchen Porters. The role is an exciting opportunity for a kitchen porter who has experience within the Public and Education Sectors.As a kitchen porter and assistant, you will help assist the kitchen team and provide a high standard of service. You will be responsible for ensuring all areas are kept clean and sanitary, as well as reporting any incidents or environmental concerns to theappropriate persons.Job Title: Kitchen PorterLocation: Bristol BS8Job Type: TemporaryHours: 07:00 - 20:00Shifts: 4/5 per weekContract: Temporary OngoingPay: WeeklyStart Date: ASAPKey Responsibilities

  • Washing up, cleaning and clearing all kitchen areas
  • Provide a high standard of service to the site and maintain cleanliness in all areas.
  • Basic food preparation
  • Unloading and putting away deliveries
  • Emptying bins, sweeping and mopping floors
  • Ensuring all equipment is clean and put away correctly
  • Sweep and mop floors at the beginning and ending of shifts
  • Be ready to clean up spills to avoid hindering operations
  • Wash cookware, utensils and cutlery fast to keep them in rotation
  • Arrange equipment and ingredient deliveries
  • Keep the food and supply storage areas organised
  • Deep cleaning fridges and store rooms to maintain sanitary and kitchen safety standards
Personal Specification
  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Able to travel and work unsocial hours
  • No facial hair, piercings or jewellery
