To work under the direct instruction of the Stores Administrator and to cooperate and communicate with her and other members of Stores staff to maintain a proactive team ethic.To ensure that all Lineside stock is kept always replenished. This includes Steel Sheet being loaded into the Storage Tower/racking, box section for the Mitre Saws, Assembly area and Sink Bowl lineside storage area.To assist with all Stock Counts and associated activities.To assist the Stores Administrator with ensuring that all stock levels on the Database system are up to date and correct.To undertake daily Steel Count in a timely manner. The Stores Administrator will then undertake the relevant deductions from database.To undertake loading/unloading of vehicles when required.To accept deliveries/goods inward and to quality check items before they are booked-in to ensure that items are correct to the purchase order/drawing/special material requisition. Any non-conformances are highlighted to the Stores Administrator. Goods whichhave been accepted are to be put away in the correct location as soon as possible.In respect of Steel deliveries, ensure that the number of sheets match the delivery note and that the correct size and grade of material has been delivered. All steel must be put away as soon as possible and under no circumstance must steel be left outside at the end of the shift.To manage stock rotation where applicable and to identify and segregate items which are perishable/non-perishable/hazardous.To control the collection and weighing of scrap metal and ensure that the weighing scales are calibrated/working correctly. Liaise with H & S Manager with regards to the calibration of the equipment.To operate and ensure that each Forklift Truck is in a safe and usable condition by completing the daily safety inspection and retaining record sheets. Applicable training in the safe use of such equipment will be provided by the company.To follow all health and safety procedures and practices to maintain a positive health and safety culture. Note: The applicable PPE must be worn for duties such as operating Lift Trucks.To maintain a high standard of housekeeping throughout the Stores and other relevant areas throughout the factory. This may involve relocating items within Stores where required to make it more efficient and user-friendly and to ensure stock locations arecorrectly and clearly identified.£10-£11 PH Depending on experienceStores background (Advantage)Warehousing Experience (Essential)FLT Counterbalance EssentialReach Truck Licence (Advantage
