Peabody currently have a Senior Care Support Worker opportunity available to join our team in Saffron Walden. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis,and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £20,716 per annum.About therole: Peabody has an exciting full time, permanent opportunity to join our Care and Support services in West Essex as a Senior Care Support Worker. Youll be working across three services in Saffron Walden, supporting people with learning disabilities and some complex health needs.You will be providing direct support to customers and working alongside a Team Manager to help oversee the day to day running of the services. You will be an excellent role model demonstrating at all times how best to support customers with kindness and compassion ensuring that they are assisted to make choices and be involved in all aspects of their life.Key responsibilities of ourSenior Care Support Worker: - Work with your Manager to ensure that the service is delivered in a way that reflects the choice and wishes of customers- Ensure that customers are enabled to develop skills and have access to the widest possible range of experiences- Assist the Manager in bringing innovation and ideas to the service that increase the opportunity for customer inclusion- Support the recruitment and induction of new team members- Facilitate person centred active support- Support the manager in communicating important matters and instructions to the team- Devise staff rota’s ensuring adequate staffing cover within the service at all times- Be a positive role model advocating for the human rights of your customers and challenging discrimination that they experience- Play an active and key role in developing and influencing team and directorate objectivesWhat we’re looking for in ourSenior Care Support Worker:- Due to our locations, drivers are preferred.
