Job Description

Client - Service Charge Accountant / Permanent Role / Salary £30,000 - £35,000 + Bonus + Hybrid Working + Benefits +/ Career Development Guaranteed! /NC Associates are working with a market leading property organisation based in Manchester to assist in recruiting a dynamic and enthusiastic Client / Service Charge Accountant who can support the Client Accounting team. As a Client / Service Charge Accountantyou will be looking after your own portfolio of clients and providing financial reports.Duties.

  • Setting up properties and budgets on the system
  • Managing a portfolio of clients
  • Service charge & rent account reconciliation and maintenance
  • Raising balancing charge demands
  • Working closely with the Asset Managers in respect of producing budgets and year end accounts
  • Calculation of cost apportionments within schedules
  • Bank reconciliations of rent and service charge.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations / journals
  • Periodic billing of service charges, ground rent and other charges to leaseholders
  • Raising ad-hoc recharges to client
  • Utilities and insurance recharging to leaseholders
  • Producing quarterly, monthly or adhoc reporting for clients.
  • VAT analysis reconciliation and clear downs of service charges
  • Budgeting, cash flow forecasting for clients
Essential Experience Required
  • AAT Qualified or equivalent
  • Previous service charge experience would be ideal but not essential
  • Month end experience ideally within management accounts
  • Strong reporting experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong excel skills
