Job Description

Technical Data Architect, InsuranceLondon/ Hybrid£100k-£120k plus bonus plus bensETL, REST API, DevOpsTechnical Data Architect is required by thriving market leading insurance organization. You will create and maintain technicl and data architectures. You will ensure a high quality technical system design which supports system performance, at optimal operationalcost under the circumstances of flexibility and future change.Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and develop technical architecture roadmaps and processes to ensure the technological lifecycle is managed
  • Plan effective and future oriented data storage, sharing and publishing within the organization in alignment with the solution and enterprise architecture
  • Produce strategic technical models, and prepare business cases in alignment with the IT security and quality guidelines for strategic technical initiatives
  • Implementation of security architectures to minimize IT security breaches and issues in alignment with the IT security strategy
  • Coach, mentor and collaborate with technical subject matter experts and EA peers to develop technology architecture that enables and drives new business capabilities and operating models.
Key Requirements:
  • Strong project delivery background. Ideally 7 years of experience in system design, systems integration, or software development as a developer / architect
  • Experience with ETL architecture
  • Experience in design data collection, data staging, data movement, analytics delivery and data quality
  • Strong knowledge of the processes of the entire software development and product life cycle: DevOps principles, patterns, UML, agile development practices
  • API development, JSON, micro-service architecture, API Gateways, SOA frameworks, ESBs, ETL pipe-lines, etc.
  • Proven track record of DevSecOps practices incl. Build-/Release-/Continuous Integration tools and frameworks such as Azure DevOps, GitHub or Jenkins
  • Deep technical knowledge in web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture and cloud architecture
  • Have demonstrated a working knowledge of the following concepts/skills: Process Mapping / Data flow diagrams
  • Insurance or financial services experience essential
