Job Description

REPORTS TO: Portfolio Lead - Global Operating ModelDEPARTMENT: Business ChangeROLE SUMMARYLGIM is looking for a Project or Programme Manager to work in Business Change - Strategic Performance & Attribution Programme Manager. The team provides management of the portfolio pipeline of change, consulting with the business, developing proposals into light business cases, delivery of projects/programmes of work, managing the business impacts and partnering with IT Teams to oversee the technology changes. The intention is to ensure change is smoothly implemented, and that the lasting benefits can be measured and achieved.The role will manage two projects in our Global Operating Model portfolio. The first project is implementing a new performance and attribution operating model with supporting systems capability. The second project is to support our Property investments business as they adopt a recently implemented hosted platform (MRI) that integrates with suppliers (managing agents, benchmarking providers, valuers, fund accountants and fund administrators) and provides analytical tools for the Front Office.The ideal candidate will possess the right balance of business understanding, senior stakeholder management, and project delivery skills. The candidate must be self-motivated and be able to work effectively within a matrix management environment, where several delivery teams are implementing components of the overall solutions. They need to ensure it is well governed, driven forwards and pragmatically implemented using Agile where appropriate.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/responsibilities:

  • Setting up project phases/epics to succeed in terms of governance, methodology, scope, design, operating models, resourcing and planning
  • Ensuring the business functions realise the value from their change investment
  • Driving and coaching the teams to operate within LGIMs Agile and Change Framework
  • Leading multiple streams covering both business and technology change to deliver the required capabilities to agreed constraints
  • Working with the Business Owners to ensure deliverables are aligned to strategy/vision/business case and that high standards are delivered
  • Ensuring adherence to best practices and audit compliance for delivery, change control and risk containment
  • Ensuring that all benefits are clearly identified, tracked and realised so that projects are accepted by the business and successfully transitioned into service
  • Prepare, monitor and control the budget and management reporting across the programme
  • Ensure delivery involves successful collaboration across Product Management, Business Stakeholders, IT Teams, Tech Ops, PMO and other teams
  • Candidate Profile
  • Experience with real estate/property asset management business teams
  • Experience with investment performance and attribution processes
  • Experience of Agile/iterative delivery methodologies, e.g. SAFe, Scrum
  • PRINCE2 or other formal project methodology experience
  • Extensive experience in Financial Services, especially Investment Management
  • Sound understanding of IT software and infrastructure
  • Experience of project/programme budgeting and roadmapping
  • Proven track record of personally managing successful projects/programmes
  • Experience of running projects which introduce organisational and process change to business functions
  • Demonstrable consulting approach
  • Strong leadership and matrix management skills
  • Structured approach to project/programme management
  • Excellent communications skills
