Job Description

Senior Python DeveloperLocation: London with £80-90k SalaryOverviewOur client is a FTSE 250 global leader in IT services generating over £12 billion as a consulting practice with a rich client portfolio. Joining this dynamic team as a Senior Python Developer will provide you with the opportunity on working with public sector cliental shaping the future of their digital environment on projects that have major impact to society.As a Senior Python Developer, you will:

  • Manage the standards set by the team on the project for software development and security.
  • Be a key member in supporting the development of organisational policies, standards and guidelines.
  • Take technical lead on the full Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Plan Software development activities and adapt tools, methods and techniques where appropriate.
  • Lead reviews of colleagues work and that of your own.
The Successful Senior Python Developer skillset will be:
  • A minimum of 5 years commercial experience using Python
  • Experience using Linux and Ubuntu
  • A seasoned backend developer experienced with large request volumes or data processing pipelines
  • Experience with docker and cloud infrastructure such as AWS
  • Proficient in using tools for testing, build and deployment pipelines
  • Robust understanding of logging, monitoring and alerting tools
