Job Description

Role OverviewWe are currently seeking an experienced Microfluidics Scientist to join the product development team of a growing Medical Technology company based in Central London. As the Senior Microfluidics Scientist you will be responsible for developing advanced chemistry for protein binding to polymers on the microfluidic chip surface.Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs the Senior Microfluidics Scientist you duties and responsibilities will be varied however your main duties will include:

  1. You will contribute to the development of new products and be involved in the design, assembly and equipment specification.
  2. Contribution to prototyping, material selection and defining product specifications and requirements. You will further translate them to critical parameter management at physical level.
  3. You will implement model systems to reduce cycle of learning time of process development.
  4. As the Senior Microfluidic Scientist you will carry out failure analysis and lead short term and long term containment.
Experience and QualificationsWe are looking to identify the following skills and experience in your application to Senior Microfluidics Scientist:
  1. PhD or MSc in a relevant scientific discipline such as, but not limited to, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering or Bio-medical engineering and a number of years of industry (or academic) experience in process development.
  2. Proven industry (or academic) experience in Microfluidics and chemical interactions is essential to your application. Design and development of integrated devices such as Microfluidic or Microelectronic is essential.
