Job Description

We are supporting our client, a well-known American Insurance firm, on their hunt for a new Payroll Manager to join the business and oversee a truly global role, focused primarily on UK and international payroll operations. An opportunity best suited forsomeone already with a global background managing Payroll, you will be keeping yourself and your team moving between a combination of different projects and BAU: whether that be monthly Benefits reporting and change renewals, generating Pension Scheme datafor key stakeholders, or changing existing payroll processes in line with best market practice. Supporting the International Head of HR on this mission, youll be responsible for the continued evolution of the businesss Payroll function, leveraging your ownexpertise in the Payroll sector to achieve this.Some of your roles responsibilities will see you darting across a variety of key deliverables: for instance, you will assist in the processing of monthly and quarterly payrolls across the UK, EMEA and APAC regions, whilst being the main point of contactfor any relevant queries. As you oversee the UK and global Payroll functions, you will be in charge of ensuring that these payroll and pension processes are kept robust and well-maintained, leading on various Payroll projects such as benchmarking and an interimPayroll system acquisition.As the Payroll Specialist, your main tasks will include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining timely and accurate processing for both the UK and wider global Payroll processes
  • Determining the best Payroll systems on the market to utilise before the firms move to a new HRIS in 2023
  • Continuously ensuring that all relevant statutory requirements are met
  • Keeping up-to-date with any changes in tax and compliance regulations that may affect the business
This role will be filled by an individual with global experience, who is looking to work with a prestigious brand name. They must have the highest level of accuracy even throughout high-volume periods. They will have a good degree of familiaritywith payroll and statutory obligations across the entirety of EMEA and APAC.
