Job Description

Banking - London - Group Accountant Manager - 12-month FTC Work type: ContractHybrid: 2/3 days a week in officeReports into: Financial ControllerThe Group Finance team supports the Group by providing consolidated Group financial information which enables senior management in their decision-making processes for the benefit of the Group as a whole.Key Accountabilities:

  • Completion of the year and year end stat accounting packs
  • Ensuring all financial and non-financial data used to the financial returns has been reconciled
  • Ensure monthly schedules are prepared and checked for all key items in the financial statements
  • Maintaining finance policies and processes ensuring compliance with company policies and good internal control is in place
  • Lead the management with external auditors on the stat accounts
  • Preparation of Monthly Management accounts of the group
  • Review financial reporting deliverables in order to identify and implement improvements to improve control and utilise system capabilities
  • Maintaining company records, processing payments and routine stat returns
  • Cash flow management and forecasting
Essential experience required:
  • Fully qualified accountant - ACA - Preferred
  • Accounting from within a bank
  • International Financial standards - IFRS 9
  • Experience of managing staff
  • Significant experience of leading the production and delivery of financial reporting
