Job Description

Job DescriptionWere supporting a large insurance firm, who have an exciting new opening for a talented Communications Coordinator to join the company on a permanent basis, working from their central London head office. Having only been established within the last 10 years,our client is a modern, fast-growing firm, now operating globally with c. 2,500 employees worldwide.Reporting directly into the Internal Communications Manager, the successful candidate will focus primarily on coordinating content and creating a range of engaging material for a diverse programme of activities to support the delivery of internal and externalcommunications / engagement activities, projects and campaigns.

  • This position has an immediate start and offers £24,000 - £32,000, subject to skills & experience.
  • Please note that our client is looking for full in-office attendance (5-days per week), with scope to work more remotely further down the line.
-Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain a range of communication channels for internal and external audiences (for example, intranet, email, external website, social media, video, print) - ensuring they are effective for reaching target audiences with key messages, and alsolooking for opportunities to continuously improve or introduce new channels
  • Putting your journalistic, interview and writing skills to good use by sourcing interesting or inspiring stories / case-studies that bring our clients strategy to life
  • Own and manage the content calendar to ensure timely, accurate and engaging content every day that helps to promote the clients goals, messages, tone and branding, which in turn should prompt audiences to want to interact, contribute and take action
  • Manage and support a range of projects/initiatives/events throughout the year in line with the comms calendar e.g., conferences, AGM, engagement survey, growth days, gender pay gap, CSR, webinars
  • Some day-to-day management and general administration, examples include:
  • Managing queries for the intranet such as new starters / leavers, password resets, trouble-shooting account issues, profile changes, page / microsite updates, uploading documents and information.
  • Working with stakeholders to understand requirements and build microsites for targeted audiences
  • Managing enquiries into the communications inbox, Suggestions box, liaising with key people around the company for timely responses, managing external website enquiries
  • Create visuals / range of multi-media to bring messages to life (e.g. infographics, brochures, posters, videos)
  • Manage external website and social media
-Key Requirements
  • Previous experience in a communications based role (ideally internal communication / engagement focused), any sector
  • Can plan, draft and execute a simple communication plan or campaign
  • Design skills to create compelling and professional visuals / images / documents
  • Fast learner and confident using a range of channels and tools to bring campaigns and messages to life e.g. email, web content management system
  • Superb writer and editor
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Social media and web savvy
  • Strong time management and organisational
  • Can-do attitude and able to provide flexible solutions / respond to change and get the job done
