Job Description

Draughtsperson £30,000 - £35,000 per annumJob Summary: Our client specializes in the design and manufacture of bespoke wooden cabinets and high-end luxury furniture. They are seeking a talented Draughtsperson to join their team.The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed engineering drawings and liaising with clients to ensure accurate and efficient production. The ideal candidate will have experience working with AutoCAD and bespoke drawing packages, aswell as a background in bespoke furniture or a similar industry.We will also consider candidates with a shop floor background who are interested in transitioning to an office-based role.Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed engineering drawings based on client requirements
  • Liaise with clients to ensure accuracy and efficiency in production
  • Work closely with the production team to ensure high-quality output
  • Utilize AutoCAD and bespoke drawing packages to produce detailed drawings
  • Review and modify drawings as needed to ensure compliance with design specifications
  • Assist with project management, including scheduling and budgeting
  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide accurate and timely quotes for clients
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the bespoke furniture or similar industry
  • Strong understanding of AutoCAD and bespoke drawing packages
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Understanding of project management principles
  • Background in joinery and cabinet making preferred
