Material PlannerResponsibilities

• Manage the overall stock budget and implement measures to ensure accuracy for reporting purposes
• Review scheduling requirements and ensure adequate orders are placed on production and non-production requirements to ensure modules are manufactured within required deadlines
• Ensure all suppliers are issued with rolling forecasts and firmed up orders to support the production plan and proactively expedite arrears and past due parts
• Ensure there is sufficient order coverage for all materials to ensure continuity of supply and buffer stock
• Develop and maintain weekly/monthly reporting for the Supply Chain team that includes, but not limited to OTIF, Stock valuation, Stock coverage and availability, site availability and shortage tracking
• Monitor and evaluate supplier performance
• Champion the SAP system to drive business excellence
• Work closely with the stock management team in order to manage the stock profile and minimise stock holding across the business
• Communicate across the business on all material expediting issues and up-coming shortages
• To identify, manage and resolve issues in relation to the delivery of product
• Work within supplier lead-times and challenge the business to ensure that orders are placed in a timely manner
• Troubleshoots problems that occur during production

Material PlannerRole SpecificationThe Material Planner will require the following experience:

• GCSE Maths & English (Grade C or above)
• Proven experience as a Material Planner
• Demonstrable manufacturing industry experience in planning
• A good understanding of logistics and materials through a busy supply chain
• Strong working knowledge of ERP systemsIdeally SAP (PO Raising)
• Capable of interacting with senior stakeholders across multiple sites
