Job Description

Service EngineerAn exciting position has become available for a full-time Service Engineer.With a proven track record in the field, you will be a problem solver, have a can-do attitude, be customer focused and be of smart appearance.The work will be field based with sometime during the week spent in the Chorley headquarters. You must be available to work all over the UK, with occasional European travel.Role RequirementsQualifications and Education

  • Time served in engineering with at least an electrical/electronic qualification but preferably multi skilled.
  • 3 years of work experience with CNC machines.
  • Knowledge of offline programming essential.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.
Skills and Experience
  • Experience in CNC sheet metal machines preferred but not essential.
  • Machine maintenance and installation experience.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics.
  • High customer orientation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Excellent electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills.
  • Pneumatic and hydraulic experience advantageous.
  • CAD experience would be desirable.
  • Ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions.
  • Work within a small team.
  • Travel on short notice may be required.
  • Available to work away from home.
  • Forklift licence/experience.
Role Responsibilities
  • Installation of waterjet machines and associated accessories.
  • Commissioning and testing the equipment.
  • Provide training for operators, maintenance and programmers.
  • Provide preventative breakdown maintenance to our contract customers.
  • Schedule service check overs and organise service consumables with Admin.
  • Breakdown call out and repairs.
  • Troubleshoot and provide technical assistance - over the phone, via email and on-site.
  • Assist Sales with technical support.
  • Manage phone calls and correspondence.
  • Responsible for the completion and submission of field service reports and expense reports.
  • Assist in the Waterjet Workshop in Chorley.
