Job Description

Page Personnel are working alongside a very successful company based in Chorley. They are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team on a Temporary basis with the view of it going permanent. You will be responsible for maintainingfinancial records, processing payments, and developing monthly financial statements.Client DetailsOur client is a leading organisation within the business services industry. With a sizeable team of professionals, they are known for their commitment to delivering high-quality services across the UK, particularly in Chorley.DescriptionYou will be responsible for:

  • Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and reports
  • Process invoices, record payments, and track expenses
  • Support the senior accountant in managing the general ledger
  • Ensure financial records are kept up-to-date with the latest transactions and changes
  • Resolve financial disputes raised by the company and vendors
  • Contribute to the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts
  • Assist with internal and external auditing procedures
ProfileA successful Assistant Accountant should have:
  • A solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
  • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with relevant accounting software
