Job Description

Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civils/Residential GroundworksThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a forward-thinking, major subcontractor. The company are well respected and have a wealth of experience in the industry, making them one of the biggest names in the game. Therole will see you working on a range of Residential Groundworks projects across the Northwest.With several awards to their name, the company have a reputation for delivering first-class projects and developing team members to further their careers and take the next. You will have the chance to work on some of the most exciting projects in the region ranging in value from £5m up-to £25m. On each project you will be given the chance to work with an established team, reporting into a Commercial Manager and supported by those around you. Working on the commercial aspects of the project you will be working closely with the client and sub-contractors.This is a perfect role for someone from a residential groundworks/civils background, ideally with a good-sized groundworks contractor.The ideal candidate will have a degree in Quantity Surveying, in addition to a proven commercial track-record in a similar environment.Duties & Responsibilities:* Completing cost management of the project from inception to hand over * Working off pre-construction documents to prepare cost plans and measurements* Managing clients expectations delivering results* Work with external parties including architects and engineers to ensure project specifications are understood* Working closely with Sub-Contractors * Ensure any changes to design and understood and coats are kept up-to-date* Managing quantities from drawings* Managing an array of sub-contractors ensuring work is delivered on time and within budget Experience:* +4 Years as a Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor * BSC Degree in Quantity Surveying * Experience on NEC Contracts* Project Experience + £5 Million * Residential Groundworks/Civils Experience essential* Civils subcontractor backgroundBenefits* Very Competitive Salary* Company car/allowance* Healthcare* 26 Days Holiday + Statutory * Competitive Pension* Career progressionSearch is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.Required skills
