As a key member of our accounting department, the Senior Accountant will play a crucial role in managing financial transactions, preparingfinancial reports, and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records. Also working within audit and tax will be an important part of this role, the split will depend on experience and preferenceSenior accountant Position OverviewFinancial Reporting:Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.Provide insights into financial performance, variances, and trends.General Ledger Management:Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Post and review journal entries, ensuring proper documentation and supporting schedules.Budgeting and Forecasting:Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts.Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.Month-End and Year-End Close:Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes.Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial activities.Audit Support:Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process.Provide necessary documentation and explanations for audit inquiries.Tax Compliance:Assist in the preparation and filing of various tax returns.Stay updated on changes in tax regulations that may impact the organization.Process Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.Streamline financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Senior accountant Position Requirements
