Job Description

We seek a meticulous and efficient Payroll Officer with proficiency in payroll software, accounting principles, and strong interpersonal skills. The role requires comprehensive payroll management for a large team within the property industry.Client DetailsThis organisation is a highly reputable player in the property industry, based in Chorley.Description

  • Performing all aspects of payroll processing including timesheet verification, salary calculations, and taxation.
  • Maintaining detailed records and payroll documentation for audit purposes.
  • Ensuring adherence to all local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to payroll.
  • Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering employee payroll queries.
  • Performing year-end processing duties such as W-2 and tax filing.
  • Coordinating with the Accounting & Finance department to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Staying updated on payroll systems and legislation changes.
  • Collaborating with Human Resources on payroll related matters.
ProfileA successful Payroll Officer should have:
  • A degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • A solid understanding of accounting principles and payroll practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills with a client-focused approach.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
