Job Description

Job Title: IT Desktop/ Senior Technician Location: ChorleySalary: Up to £35KWe are a leading recruitment agency, currently looking for an experienced IT Desktop/ Senior Technician to join our clients Software industry.The IT Desktop/ Senior Technician will be responsible for providing technical support to the business, including hardware and software support, troubleshooting, and installation. They will need to be able to manage systems and deliver timely solutions to thebusiness.The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, with excellent technical and customer service skills.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to the business, including hardware and software support, troubleshooting and installation
  • Manage systems and deliver timely solutions to the business
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve technical problems
  • Monitor system performance and diagnose problems
  • Implement and manage security measures
  • Provide technical guidance and advice to colleagues
  • Train and support staff on IT-related issues
Technical Skills Required:
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and standards
  • Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange
  • Knowledge of security systems and firewalls
  • Experience with troubleshooting IT issues
  • Good understanding of computer systems and networks
  • MS SQL server, DBA
  • backup and recovery
