Job Description

Axon Moore are exclusively partnering with a unique and successful SME in Chorley to recruit a newly qualified Group Accountant. The role will suit an individual with a positive, pro-active mindset who is hungry to progress and become a future FinancialController!The business are going through an exciting period of change and continued growth, in which the finance team plays a critical role in this transformation which has led to the need for a technically strong individual to enhance their skills.Responsibilities include:

  • Taking ownership of key financial reporting and financial control activities
  • Assisting with strategic responsibilities within the business to aid further growth
  • Monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting activities, whilst continuously seeking improvements to current processes, systems and controls
  • Business partnering across both financial and non-financial stakeholders
  • Month-end financial close activities, including journal entries and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and intercompany reconciliations
  • Assist in the preparation of the group consolidated reporting pack, including sales and margin analysis, stock movement, aged stock analysis, and cash flow forecasts for the group
  • Assist with tax compliance activities, including VAT returns, corporation tax filings, and liaising with tax authorities.
  • Supporting annual budgeting and forecasting process
  • Ad hoc project work

  • £50,000- £55,000 starting salary
