Job Description

I am working with a client who specialises in supporting staff across health and social care to deploy technology to manage demand, support the workforce and help patients manage their health. Based in Chorley, Lancashire the company employs over 40 peopleand has grown from a standing start to be a trusted partner. This is a part time role, looking for someone for approx 25 hours, split over 3 full days or flexi.The Role:The successful candidate will play a key part in the successful management, reporting and analysis of financial information. Reporting directly into the CFO, you will be a key influencer and hold a role of responsibility and accountability.Key responsibilities

  • Ensure all finance functions and accounting records are maintained and monthly management accounts prepared accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Oversee all prime entry accounting tasks ensuring all income and costs have been appropriately approved, recorded accurately and VAT where applicable is correctly treated.
  • Additional ad hoc reporting tasks where required.
  • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting, including 13-week cashflow forecasting
  • Ensuring financial accuracy of multiple systems is maintained.
  • Reconciliation of the balance sheet accounts as part of the month end process. Key balance is deferred income for 12/24 month contracts.
  • Ensuring financial control and reporting is maintained and developed to support the growth of the business.
  • Support in streamlining processes and development of MI to be used by wider business to improve decision making.
  • Supporting with VAT & PAYE compliance
  • Experience of managing payroll would be preferred but not essential.
  • Low volume transactions- key is month end, payroll, tax, deferred income.
  • Working with the CFO, Business Owners to assist with any due diligence that could be needed for acquisitions and growth.
  • Working on a number of projects to really drive forward inc timesheet management, contract management, MI, month end packs etc.
Your Key Attributes/Experience:
  • Qualified Accountant
  • Demonstrable experience with all aspects of financial control, management accounts and reporting
  • Competent in analysing and investigating data.
  • High level Excel skills
  • The ability to communicate in a clear, concise, logical and informative manner in order to build relationships with colleagues.
