Job Description

Paying £24k - £26k our client is recruiting for a Finance Assistant/Treasury Clerkon a permanent basis. The role offers both a hybrid and flexible working pattern and 24daysholiday. This company has a fantastic culture which is proven in the fact thatthe majority of their employees have committed to the company on a long-term basis.The Role:The jobs main purpose is to accurately post receipts on a timely basis, and allocate toaccounts or to sundry income as required to ensure our clients income position and debtors are known to all users and in particular the client. Reconcile Bank Accountstimely in accordance with Group Policy.Key Accountabilities:

  • To extract statements from a variety of banking platforms on a daily basis
  • Post receipts in accordance with remittance instructions
  • Bank cheques andpost in accordance with remittance instructions
  • Perform bank reconciliations both at month end and updating throughout the month
  • Sweep funds between central accounts and individual accounts as per allocation reports
  • Input BACS/CHAPS instructions to the Online Banking Platform
  • Liaise with internal colleagues and clients
  • Manage generic email box
  • To arrange opening and closing of bank accounts in accordance with instructions received and approved
  • To move funds between individual accounts as instructed for allocation
The Person:Previous experience working within a finance departmentis essential. Someone who has good excel skills and who is organised with good attention to detail is also required. You must have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal and be proactivein your approach to work. You must be able to commute to Chorley on a weekly basis and be someone that is ambitious who is looking for a long-term career with eventual progression.
