Job Description

Position: Electronics Design EngineerSalary: Up to £65,000Location of Office: ChorleyThe Role: A new position has now been created for an Electronics Design Engineer to join a growing engineering team working towards the design and development of industry leading products for the safety and detection industries. They areBritish owned and design, develop, test and manufacture all their products in their purpose-built facilities in Lancashire.The successful Electronics Design Engineer focus will be the design and development of a range of new products, working closely with like minded engineers in a multidiscipline engineering team. You will be expected to contribute from initial concept throughto in house testing and manufacture and will have the chance to see products you have designed come to fruition. You will be an experienced Electronics Design Engineer who is comfortable with analogue and digital circuit design, schematic capture and havesome experience with switch mode power supplies (SMPS). Whilst any experience with EMC standards, microcontroller design or audio technology will make your CV standout.Working as part of a small team you can expect plenty of variety and challenges in your role and should expect daily tasks to include circuit design, collaborating with other engineers, prototyping, debugging, liaising with customers and ensuring productsmeet the applicable regulations.Skills and experience required:

  • Analogue circuit design
  • Digital circuit design
  • Switch mode power supply
  • PCB design and schematic capture
Desirable skills and experience:
  • EMC standards
  • Microcontroller design
  • Audio design experience
