Job Description

GENERAL RESTAURANT MANAGER£35-40,000 + company benefitsWe are looking for an experienced General Restaurant Manager with a quality high end background to join an award winning business to head up their stunning restaurant that serves all fresh locally sourced produce.You will have exceptional customer service, people, high volume, leadership, organisation and financial & commercial skills, and you will also be a real foodie passionate about quality and provenance.You will have complete responsibilty and accountability for the performance of the restaurant including recruitment, training, performance management, driving sales and coaching and developing people and teams.Having your own transport is essentialROLE - GENERAL RESTAURANT MANAGERAs the General Restaurant Manager you will:

  • Manage all day to day operations
  • Control labour, stock and all costs & budgets
  • Recruit, train and develop your team
  • Work in a hands-on capacity leading from the front
  • Maintain high standards, compliance and company systems & procedures
  • Work closely with the kitchen team
  • Deliver exceptional customer service
  • Work to company targets and KPIs
    • ATTRIBUTES - GENERAL RESTAURANT MANAGER
  • Experience as a general restaurant manager in busy quality high end fresh food restaurants
  • Strong financial & commercial acumen - P & L accountability
  • Excellent people, communication and man-management skills
  • A hands-on lead from the front approach and a very keen eye for detail
  • An intrinsic understanding of legislation & compliance
  • The ability to motivate and enthuse people and teams to deliver results
  • Strong leadership, coaching, performance management and people development skills
  • A positive and outgoing personality and outlook
  • Ambition, passion and drive to succeed and further develop your career
  • IT literate - working with systems & process
