Job Description

More About the Transhipping Operative Role:We are recruiting multiple individuals to join our AO night shift team on a Full-Time, Permanent Contract to support our Warehouse in Avonmouth. As a Transhipping Operative, you will be encouraging our Home Delivery operation by loading products from thewarehouse into AO delivery vans ready to be delivered to our customers the next day. We offer excellent internal development opportunities, and you dont need a lot of experience as we provide full training on site.

  • Salary: £11.13 per hour / £22,953.62 per annum
  • Hours: 5 on 3 off, 5 on 2 off, working 22.00pm7:00am (39.66 hours per week)
  • Job Type: Full time and permanent contract
  • Location: Chittening Industrial Estate, Greensplott Road, Avonmouth, BS11 0YB
Heres What You Can Expect To Be Doing As Our Transhipping Operative:
  • Unloading appliances from trailers into the warehouse
  • Loading appliances from the warehouse into AO delivery vans
  • Using warehouse equipment such as Sack Barrows to move appliances
  • Manual handling
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures
  • Report any accidents, product issues or damages
  • Strong teamwork
A Few Things About Our Transhipping Operative:While working it is important that we all work together to stay motivated throughout the shift, therefore you must be able to work independently and work well within a team.
  • Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not essential (full training is provided onsite)
