Job Description

We are on the lookout for a dedicated and knowledgeable Accounts Assistant. As our new Accounts Assistant, you will join our friendly team which will see you working 5 days a week 08.30 to 17.00 which equates to 40 hours within our Brilliant Team in ourAccounts departmentWe require an experienced Accounts Assistant to work amongst our Brilliant Team to enable us to maintain some of the most modern, sophisticated vehicles on the road keeping the country runningMain duties will be:

  1. Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  2. Consolidate weekly forecasts
  3. Daily reconciliation of the bank account
  4. Process PDQ, cash, cheque and direct debit receipts and chase sites for invoice allocation receipts
  5. Process warranty self-billing (SBI) payments
  6. Code and authorise orders and invoices
  7. Process employee expense claim forms
  8. Monthly sustainability reporting
  9. Monthly VAT checks
  10. Prepare and post journals
  11. Prepare intercompany transfer documents (IDJVs)
  12. Assist other colleagues as necessary and carry out ad hoc tasks as required by the Dealership Accountant
  13. Ensure that our companies code of conduct for customers, suppliers and staff is always adhered to and we maintain the companys integrity and transparency policy
  14. Observe, apply, and always comply with the Group Health & Safety and Environmental Policy and report to the Regional Director any breaches of this policy
  15. To respect the property of the Company and any property for which the Company is responsible, or which is in their care
  16. To assist with general housekeeping duties required within the service reception area
As our Accounts Assistant we will be looking for you to be able to demonstrate:
  • Previous experience of working in an Accounts department
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong Excel/data inputting skills
  • A good understanding of general accounting functions, for example invoices, credit notes, payments advice
  • IT Literacy
  • Brilliant levels of communication written and verbal
  • Enthusiastic, Team Player, Flexible
