Job Description

An established construction business operating West London are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to join their team. The role will be based in West London with the option to occasionally work from the second office in Crawley.Operating for over 40 years this well-established Construction firm undertake numerous projects across London and the south. The types of projects include new build, refurb and alteration across residential, medical and educational properties.The Role of the Health and Safety AdvisorAs the successful Health and Safety Advisor will report directly to the Health and Safety Manager and advise on all aspects of Health and Safety.

  • To assist in the continued development and improvement of the current management system
  • To communicate and liaise with other departments regarding health, safety, environmental and quality data and information
  • Assist the HSEQ Manager in conducting site inspections and provide guidance on health and safety observations
  • Devise toolbox talks and bulletins
  • Support the HSEQ Manager in maintaining accreditations i.e. ISO 18001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Acclaim, Exor etc
  • Assist the Bid Team in tender submissions
  • Providing staff inductions
    • The Successful health and Safety Advisor
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate as a minimum
  • Ex-Armed Forces Welcome
  • Knowledge of Construction, Design and Management (CDM) 2015 Regulations
  • Be able to work as part of a team as well as on their own initiative
  • At least 1-year experience in construction health and safety on site
  • Previous experience in asbestos removal and have received Asbestos Awareness training
  • Full driving license and access to their own transport
  • CISRS Scaffold Inspection
  • Previous experience in ISO accreditation
  • BOHS P402 Surveying and Sampling Strategies for Asbestos in Buildings
