Job Description

Do you have experience of working with childrenAre you looking for a flexible and exciting new careerFuture Education are working in partnership with a number Secondary Schools across the following areas; Bromley, Lewisham, Greenwich region who are seeking Cover Supervisors to join them to support staff shortages across the school.This is an immediate start and both full-time and part-time vacancies are available. Working hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am - 15:30. The Role;

  • Experience of working within education is desirable
  • The ability and confidence to cover a variety of subjects
  • A good knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • A passion for teaching and a desire to make a difference
Please note, you do not have to have worked within a school setting previously to be considered for this role, if you have worked with children or young adults in any aspect (including youth workers, social workers, social workers) - We would love to hearfrom you!The role of the cover supervisor is to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set.The class teacher will set work for students to complete and the cover supervisor will ensure that pupils remain on task.Although it is not necessary for cover supervisors to have specific subject knowledge they should be able to manage behaviour and discuss the students work with them, offering support and advice if needed.A cover supervisor is the responsible adult in the classroom and is therefore, responsible for dealing with any emergencies or problems that might occur.If you are enthusiastic about working with children and young people, we want to hear from you.
